it is with heavy hearts that we are afraid to announce that THE FIRST DUCKWORTH FAYRE that was to be held at the royal on saturday 12th july has been cancelled.

i think i speak for all of us when i say that we’re all genuinely heartbroken, mortified and allround upset but, at the end of the day, it just wasn’t to be.

for the past SEVEN (count ‘em) months, a HELL of a lot of work had been ploughed into getting this event off the ground and, with a month to go, by god, we’d thought we’d actually SUCCEEDED.

alas, as you may or may have not heard, there has been some issues at the royal and, as a result, all gigs have been pulled, including OUR lil’ shindig. it’s not an amazing outcome, obviously, but a decision we ultimately have to respect.

we may ultimately try again in the near future but, for now, our little attempt into creating a nice day out in this fair city has been undone by outside forces.

thanks from the bottom of our hearts to everybody who WAS gonna come or mentioned it to somebody or laughed at our flyers or slagged it off or just generally acknowledged its little existence.
